Cooking cherry compote:

Step 1: Prepare the Cherry

First of all, we pour the purified water into a small pan, its amount can be adjusted depending on what saturation you want to get as a result. Next, put the liquid on a strong fire. While it begins to boil, remove the tails of the picked cherry, put the berries in a colander and rinse under a thin stream of cold running water. We do this carefully so that there is no dust or any other debris left on them!

Step 2: cook the cherry compote.

As soon as the water in the saucepan begins to boil, pour the prepared berries there, and after boiling again, add granulated sugar and mix everything with a slotted spoon.
We cook the compote for a couple of minutes, taste and, if necessary, sweeten. Then, using a kitchen towel, we rearrange the finished drink on a cutting board, previously laid on the countertop. Cover the saucepan with a lid and cool its contents to room temperature.

Step 3: serve the cherry compote.

Cherry compote is a delicious spring-summer drink. After cooking, it is cooled and then acted as desired: either it is cooled in the refrigerator, or with the help of a ladle it is immediately poured into glasses and served with desserts or just like that, without anything, to quench your thirst. Enjoy it!
Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- very often, along with a squeak, add a pinch of cinnamon or a bag of vanilla sugar to the pan;

- if the cherry is not acidic, you can season the boiling compote with citric acid to taste;

- in the same way, compote is prepared from other berries: cherries, raspberries, cranberries, strawberries, blackberries, lingonberries;

- In winter and late fall, instead of fresh cherries, frozen ones are used.
